The UMC in 2019

February 23-26, 2019, a special called session of General Conference was held in St. Louis, MO for the purpose of addressing the recommendations of the The Way Forward Commission. This commission was assembled after General Conference 2016 and charged with the task of finding way for the United Methodist Church to overcome long-standing internal conflict related to issues of human sexuality.
