Dr. Spradlin has served as Senior Pastor since June of 2011, having previously served St. Stephen UMC in Arlington and FUMC Hurst. She has an M.Div. from Perkins School of Theology at SMU and loves preaching and teaching the Bible. Mary is married to David, and they have two children: Hallie Grace and Thomas.

Dr. Pledger joined AHUMC staff in 2013. He had previously served as senior pastor at FUMC Sherman. Dr. Pledger and his wife, Kay, enjoy playing with their grandchildren.

Rev. Lutes is a graduate of Brite Divinity School and was ordained as a Deacon in the UMC on 2017. He and his wife Lynaia have been members at AHUMC for more than 10 years. Allen's call to ministries of justice, particularly in the area of feeding others, is fueled by his experience as a chef and former restauranteur. In addition to general pastoral responsibilities, Allen works at AHUMC in the areas of Missions and oversees our Five & Two Food Truck Ministry. Allen and Lynaia have two sons: Gabe and Caden.

Christine Coleman

Director of Student Ministries

Christine joined our staff in January of 2018. She grew up in Katy, TX and has lived in Fort Worth since 2006. She has degrees from Texas Wesleyan University and Brite Divinity School. Christine enjoys helping students see God, see God in others, and see God in themselves. She is married to Justin, and they have two daughters, Elizabeth and Emma, five dogs and four goats. She loves to photograph, read, write and paint.

Alyssum Power joined our staff in June 2017 as Director of Welcoming Ministries. She works to enhance our church’s welcome by helping guests and new members connect with our

congregation. She also helps church members remain connected with the ministries of our congregation. Alyssum is a student at Texas Wesleyan University, and previously worked at the Central Texas Conference Service Center.

Missy Matthews joined the staff as Communications Director in 2014. Missy has served as Communications Director for FUMC Hurst and College Avenue UMC in Manhattan, Kansas. Previously, she served as Exhibitions Operations Manager of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. A native of Wichita Falls, Missy has a BA from Texas Tech with an advertising major and art minor. Missy's family includes husband Curtis, and children Jack and Eleanor.

Steve has served as Chancel Choir Director since 2002. Worship services, plus special concerts and other programs throughout the year make for a most active choir ministry. Steve is married to Tani, and they are blessed with three wonderful children, as well as their children's spouses and seven grandsons are also active members at AHUMC. Steve served at Texas Wesleyan University as a Professor of Music for nearly 40 years.

Tani Simons has worked with children’s choirs for 38 years, and been director of the Children’s and Junior Choirs at Arlington Heights UMC since 2004. She has a master's degree in education with a minor in music. She is married to Steve, has three children, and seven awesome grandsons.

Frank Shroyer was invited to create an advanced handbell choir at AHUMC in 2008, having previously served as Director of Music Ministries at University United Methodist in Fort Worth. Frank has undergraduate degress in music and theater from Fairmont State University, as well as a MA in theater. He has previously worked at Canterbury UMC in Houston, the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel and Towers in NYC, and Columbia Artist Management. Frank lives in the Arlington Heights neighborhood with "the girls" -- two minature Dachhunds named Coco and Sugar.

Anne has been Director of Mildred Haupt since 2000. She has a degree from College of the Ozarks in Child Psychology and minor in Child Development. Prior to working at AHUMC, she was a Director for The Children’s Courtyard for seven years. She is married to Craig and they have two sons, Jonathan and Ryan.

Rick Trevino

Building Steward

Rick has served on AHUMC staff since 2001. He is married to Paula, and together they have three grown children. In his spare time, Rick enjoys playing the drums and mastering his X Box skills.

Paula Trevino

Paula has served on AHUMC staff since 2002. She is married to Rick and is grandmother to countless grandkids. In her spare time, Paula enjoys crafting and watching NCIS.

Monica Kintigh

Adjunct Staff Member/Licensed Professional Counselor

Monica Kintigh, PhD, LPC has 34 years professional experience as therapist, educator, trainer, and consultant. She has special interest in stress management, coping with depression/anxiety, grief counseling, relationship enhancement, communication, and suicide intervention. Dr. Kintigh has experience with adults, college students, adolescents, children, couples, and groups. She serves our congregation as an adjunct counselor offering her services to AHUMC referrals at a reduced rate. You may contact her free of charge for a brief phone consultation. Laurie Meek

Office Manger/Executive Assistant

Laurie recently moved back to Fort Worth from Greenwich, Connecticut where she lived for 30 years. While growing up in Fort Worth, Laurie attended All Saints & Arlington Heights High School.

When her children were young, Laurie owned her own Professional Organizing business and specialized in home offices and time management for her clients. She also owned her own eCommerce business and sold boutique office supplies for several years where she learned website management, social media strategy & communications.

Laurie has 2 grown children and she enjoys football, travel and catching up with family and friends whenever she can.
