Things to Know
Second Campus Proposal
After prayerful consideration and discussion among members of the congregation, it is clear that there is not enough support to pursue the creation of a second campus at this time. Concerns include: cost to AHUMC, preference to use existing funds to support ministries and building updates at our current campus, and lack of financial input from the Conference. Those who spoke in favor of the plan were excited about the opportunity to expand our congregation's ministry and reach more people, the potential uses for this building, and the energy created by doing something new. Although we are not moving forward with a second campus, we have an opportunity to use the energy that this conversation provided to Dream Big about ministries that we can create at AHUMC that will enhance our ability to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
