Description:On January 16, 2016, 150 volunteers from our church and community gathered to help assemble 20,306 meals of Lentil Soup to help feed hungry families in West Fort Worth (through WestAid) and Zambia. Thanks to all who contributed over $5,000 to make this possible, and thanks for all of the willing hands who made it happen. We had a lot of fun!

Description:On MLK Day, 19 children (grades 3-6) participated in a Messy Mission Makers Great Day of Service! We took a tour of NICA (North Inter-Community Agency) and learned about how their food bank, thrift store, computer lab and classes help people in our community. We then went to Target to purchase diapers with money that was given by families in our church as part of a special Advent calendar activity. We took the diapers to University United Methodist Church and donated them to their Berry Sweet Babies ministry for teenage mothers.When we returned to the church, we ate lunch, made posters, helped plant a butterfly garden and created a stained glass window. The window will be auctioned off at NICA's Taste of Fort Worth fund raiser in March.Whew! Way to go, Messy Mission Makers!
