First Time Guests
We are happy to answer some questions you might have before you visit our church. If your question is not answered here, please contact one of our ministers. Or you can call us at (817) 737-3161.
Sunday morning worship services are held at 8:30 a.m. (traditional, with Holy Communion each Sunday), 10:50 a.m. (traditional, with Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month), and 11:03 a.m. (our Third Space service, held in the Fellowship Hall). Our traditional services feature our Chancel Choir. The Third Space service features a modern band.
Holy Communion is served every Sunday at the 8:30 a.m. service and the first Sunday of the month at other services. All who desire to participate in this means of God's grace are welcome to receive Communion at our services.
Valet Parking is available on the west side of the building for any who wish to use it. This includes those with physical limitations, parents with babies in carriers, families with children - anyone who would find easy access convenient. This is a free service.
Sunday morning attire ranges from "Sunday best" to casual dress. All are welcome at AHUMC.
Loving nursery care is available for infants through pre-schoolers at our 8:30 and 10:50 a.m. services. (Sunday School is available for ages two years and older during the middle hour, 9:40 a.m.) Our nursery is located down one flight of stairs from the narthex (the area just outside the Sanctuary doors). You will find our infant room just to your left when you reach the floor with blue tiles.
Children's Worship Bags are available outside the Sanctuary. Please pick one up for your child to help them engage on a child-friendly level with our worship service. Our 8:30 and 10:50 a.m. services feature a special Children's Time in worship.
Sunday School for all ages is available at 9:40 a.m. Please visit the Welcome Center (located in the Atrium, near the Sanctuary), and we will be happy to help you find the location of our classes. Please pick up your children at 10:30 a.m.
We hope you will register your attendance in worship. We know there are many aspects of our congregational life that cannot be experienced on Sunday morning, and we would like to contact you with additional information about our church following your visit.
